⠀ On August 11, 2022, the General Prosecutor’s Office of Kazakhstan published lists of those killed during mass peace protests in January 2022. Recall: ⠀ 🔻 Publication of lists of killed and arrested during peaceful protests was one of the main requirements of both human rights activists, opposition of Kazakhstan, and deputies of the European Parliament in a resolution of January 2022 ⠀ 🔻edrode, the author called to impose personal sanctions to violators of human rights in Kazakhstan and for violation of the fulfillment of international obligations to Kazakhstan, in particular, recommendations of the European Parliament resolution, ⠀ Now, a few days before the arrival of the euro deputies to Kazakhstan, the Prosecutor General’s Office publishes the official lists of the dead. ⠀ 🔴 What is wrong in these lists:
- There are no complete data of the dead: only the surname and initial is indicated, without the full name and surname, date and place of birth.
- there is no separation who was killed during protest, and who was killed as a result of torture.
- There is no division into cities where the murders were recorded. ⠀ State bodies, in contrast to human rights activists and journalists, own such information and, to exclude manipulations, are required to publish complete/exhaustive information in the list.Now the authorities have gone through the least resistance, copying the lists of human rights activists. ⠀ Such a manipulation will allow the authorities to evade responsibility and whether the list of the Prosecutor General’s Prosecutor General’s list of lists published in the media and human rights activists converges.Therefore, it is important to prevent the authorities and quickly, even before the arrival of the Eurodepa, to identify the real scale of those killed by the authorities in January 2022 ⠀ 🔴 What needs to be done:
- carefully study the list of Prosecutor General;
