“Good afternoon! I have to record this video. On January 13, 2022, at 11 a.m., I was detained by 4 SWAT officers and 2 UBOP officers. They took me from home and took me to the building of the military administration of the city of Taraz, located on Tole bi Street.

There, they beat me and wanted to torture me into confessing to something I didn’t do. The employees who tortured me were Abdygaliyev Aibek and Ayupov Daryn. The two police officers beat me and broke my arm. They told me then: “We will make you an accomplice of Massimov.”

I told them I didn’t know anyone, but I was still kept there for two days. They released me on January 15, 2022, at 9 p.m.

On January 16, I went there with a lawyer. My lawyer demanded a medical examination and appealed to the regional prosecutor’s office. Then the investigator said that he was now taking a statement from me as a witness. The security service officers have initiated a case under Article 146, part 1; the inspection has begun. Yesterday I was again summoned to the police and demanded to withdraw my statement in the names of the above-mentioned employees. I ask that this case be brought to an end. I ask law enforcement to review my case.”
