Nurtay Kazhgaliyev

Nurtay Kazhgaliyev was shot in the leg while walking down the street with headphones in his ears. Nurtay and his sister are orphans and grew up in a children’s home in Uralsk. Now Nurtay is receiving treatment because his leg is still not functioning. They wanted to go to Uralsk, but they couldn’t because Nurtay was taken from the hospital to Police Department 18 (Almaty) immediately after the operation, and now he is under investigation. He was not at the square at all; he was shot on the fifth of January. He told how the wounded were forced to crawl upstairs, and then they made bets on who would crawl first. They did not feed for four days; they brought dry instant soup (without water) for four people. Now, the Tamsha Foundation has rented an apartment for them until April; we don’t know what will happen next. They need medical care and physiotherapy. A healthy guy was made incapacitated. He cannot work; his sister came to him from Uralsk, and her family stayed there.
