Tokay Kurmanali

The circumstances of the murder of Kurmanali Tokai are unknown. It is known that the bullet hit his heart and came out of the right axillary region. Police are investigating, but Kurmanali Tokaya’s wife fears her husband will be labeled a “terrorist.” Kurmanali Tokay worked part-time in the city of Atyrau, and on the eve of the New Year, December 29, 2021, he came home after three months of work on the watch. After the New Year’s weekend, on January 4, he went to the market in the city of Talgar to buy winter clothes, and on January 5, he went to Almaty to the Green Bazaar.

On the afternoon of January 5 (about noon), he talked to his wife on the phone and said that he had bought shoes, but at 4 p.m., he did not answer his wife’s calls. Finally, on January 11, his wife was informed that Kurmanali had died.

Nursara and Kurmanali’s two minor sons are experiencing emotional stress; it is difficult for children to study, and they have become withdrawn. The widow remembers Kurmanali as a kind person, hardworking, and loving family man. With the money earned, Kurmanali built a house and dreamed that they would all be able to live in a new home, and the children would be able to get a decent education and keep up with their peers.

The Kurmanali family moved from Xinjiang and built their present and future in Kazakhstan. The widow has health problems that have worsened with Kurmanali’s death. Having lost the only breadwinner, the family is experiencing financial difficulties.
